ثفل

5 تثفَلهُ أثفل تثفله تثفلة (tropical:) It (a radical, or hereditary, evil quality) withheld him from generous actions. (Ibn-'Abbád, K, TA.) -A2- (tropical:) He overcame him, or subdued him, [as though] putting him beneath him like the ثِفَال. (TA.)
