سقط

سَقِيطٌ ذ Hoar-frost, or rime; i. e. dew that falls and congeals upon the ground; (S, M, K;) also called جَلِيدٌ and ضَرِيبٌ; (S in art. جلد;) of the dial. of Teiyi. (M.) ― -b2- Snow; (S, TA;) as also ↓ سَقْطٌ. (K, TA.) ― -b3- Hail: (K:) or this is called سَقِيطُ السَّحَابِ. (M, TA.) ― -b4- What falls, or has fallen, of dew, (M, K, TA,) upon the ground; (M, TA;) as also ↓ سَقْطٌ. (K, TA.) ― -b5- دُرٌّسَقِيطٌ Scattered pearls. (TA.) And وَرَقٌ سِقَاطٌ [ Scattered leaves ]: the latter word is pl. of سَقِيطٌ, like as طِوَالٌ is pl. of طَوِيلٌ. (TA.) ― -b6- See also سَاقِطٌ. -A2- A whelp; syn. جِرْوٌ. (TA.) -A3- It is also said by some to signify Baked pottery; but the correct word in this sense is with ش. (TA.)
