You say رُبَّ مَسَاخِرَ يَعُدُّهَا النَّاسُ مَفَاخِرَ [ Many occasions of mockery, &c., men reckon occasions of boasting, or glorying ]. (A.) And هُوَ مَسْخَرَةٌ [ He is a cause of mockery, &c.]. (A.) [See also مَخْسَرَةٌ.] ― -b2- Also One who mocks at, scoffs at, laughs at, derides, or ridicules, others. (A.) [See also سُخَرَةٌ.]
