8 ارتمى ذ It was, or became, thrown, cast, or flung. (S, K, TA.) It fell to the ground: so in the saying, ارتمى الحِمْلُ عَنْ ظَهْرِ البَعِيرِ [ The load fell to the ground, or it may mean was thrown down, from the back of the camel ].
