رُمَيْصَاآءُ ذ [dim. of رَمْصَاآءُ, fem. of أَرْمَصُ]. ― -b2- الشِّعْرَى الرُّمَيْصَاآءُ [ i. q. الشِّعْرَى الغُمَيْصَاآءُ, i. e., Procyon; (see الشَّعْرَى;)] one of the two stars of the ذِرَاع: so called because of its smallness and its littleness of light [in comparison with the other شِعْرَى, which is Syrius].
