[See also 4 in art. ردغ.]) ― -b2- ارزغ said of a digger, He reached the moist earth or clay. (S, K.) ― -b3- ارزغت السَّمَاآءُ The sky gave water such as moistened the earth or ground: (TA:) like اردغت. (TA in art. ردغ.) And ارزغت الرِيحُ The wind brought نَدًي [i. e. moisture, or rain, &c.]. (IF, K.) And ارزغ المَطَرُ الأَرْضُ The rain moistened the earth, or ground, (S, K,) and exceeded the ordinary degree, (S,) but did not flow. (S, K.) ― -b4- ارزغ المَاآءُ The water was, or became, little in quantity. (JK, Ibn-'Abbád, K.)
