قود

مُنْقَادٌ ذ and ↓ قَؤُودٌ (S, L, K) and ↓ قَوُودٌ, without ء, (Ks,) and ↓ قَيِّدٌ and ↓ قَيْدٌ, [the last but one originally قَيْوِدٌ, and the last contracted from it,] like مَيِّتٌ and مَيْتٌ, and ↓ أَقْوَدُ, (L, K,) A horse, (Ks, S, L, K,) and a camel, (Ks, L,) tractable; (tropical:) submissive; easy. (Ks, S, L, K.) Ex. اِجْعَلْ فِى أَوَّلِ قِطَارِكَ بَعِيرًا قَيِّدًا [ Place thou at the head of thy string of camels a camel that is tractable ].
