قطب

قَطَبٌ ذ , [app. an inf. n. of which the verb is not mentioned, (in the CK قَطْب, but, as is said in the TA, it is مُحَرَّكَة,)] which is forbidden, is One's taking a thing [ by measure or weight ], and then taking the rest of the commodity by comparing it with the former portion, without measure or weight.
