4 أَنَبْتُهُ عَنْهُ ذ . (K,) and ↓ اسْتَنَبْتُهُ, (TA.) I made him to supply his [another's] place to act in him place or stead, or as his substitute, lieutenant, deputy, factor, or agent; (K, Msb;) فِى كَذَا in such an affair.
