4 انشدهُ ذ , and انشد لَهُ, (assumed tropical:) He answered him; gave him his assent, or consent, to that which he asked, begged, or besought. The ا in this case is called أَلِفُ الاـِزَالَةِ: as though the verb meant he caused his raising of his voice (نَشِيدَهُ) to cease. (L.)
