(TA.) ↓ قَلْبٌ نَخِيبٌ [ A cowardly heart ]: نخيب signifies a coward, who has no heart: or, accord. to some, one who acts corruptly. (TA.) Pl. (of ↓ نخيب, TA,) نُخُبٌ: (K:) of ↓ منخوب, مَنْخُوبُونَ, and sometimes, in poetry, accord. to IAth, مَنَاخِبُ: and Aboo-Bekr mentions نخبات as a pl. of نخبة. (TA.)
