نخب

نَخِبٌ ذ (S, K) and ↓ نَخْبٌ and ↓ نَخْبَةٌ (so accord. to the TA: in the CK نُخْبَةٌ:) and ↓ نُخْبَةٌ (in the CK ↓ نُخَبَةٌ) and ↓ نِخَبٌّ and ↓ نِخِبٌّ (K) and ↓ نَخِيبٌ and ↓ مَنْخُوبٌ and ↓ مُنْتَخَبٌ (S, K) and ↓ يَنْخُوبٌ, (K,) to which the CK adds ↓ نَخَبٌ, A cowardly man; a coward; as though his heart were drawn out; (S;) i. e., having no heart. (TA.) ↓ قَلْبٌ نَخِيبٌ [ A cowardly heart ]: نخيب signifies a coward, who has no heart: or, accord. to some, one who acts corruptly. (TA.) Pl. (of ↓ نخيب, TA,) نُخُبٌ: (K:) of ↓ منخوب, مَنْخُوبُونَ, and sometimes, in poetry, accord. to IAth, مَنَاخِبُ: and Aboo-Bekr mentions نخبات as a pl. of نخبة. (TA.)
