(S, L, K.) ― -b2- Also, applied to a she-camel, Sharp; spirited; vigorous: (L, K:) a correct meaning thus applied: (Sh:) or strong: (R:) one that precedes, or outgoes, others: (L, K:) or strong in spirit: (L:) pl. as above. (K.) ― -b3- Also, so applied, Abounding with milk: (L, K:) and, that vies with the other camels in abundance of milk, (L, K,) and surpasses them therein, (L,) or yields abundance when they have little: (K:) [but for اـِذَا غَزُرْنَ, in the copies of the K in my hands, meaning “ when they yield abundance of milk, ” I read اذا غَرَزْنَ:] pl. as above. (K.) ― -b4- Also, so applied, That lies down upon a high, or elevated, place: (K:) or that will not lie down save upon high ground: (L:) pl. as above. (K.) ― -b5- Also, An intelligent woman; sharp, or quick, in intellect: (K:) possessing judgment; as though she exerted her judgment in affairs: a strange meaning in which the word is used in a trad.: (Sh, L:) pl. as above. (K.) ― -b6- See مَنْجُودٌ, and مُنَاجِدٌ. -A2- نَجُودٌ One who works in shaking and spreading and stuffing and arranging [ those articles of household furniture which are called ] نُجُود [pl. of نَجْدٌ].
