دُرٌّ مَنْثُورٌ ذ , and ↓ نَثِيرٌ, Pearls scattered, strewn, dispersed, or thrown dispersedly, with the hand. (A, * TA.) See also مُنْتَثِرٌ, and مُنَثَّرٌ. You say ↓ كَأَنَّ لَفْظَهُ الدُّرُّ النَّثِيرُ [ As though his speech were scattered pearls ]. (A.) ― -b2- لَهُ كَرِشٌ مَنْثُورَةٌ (tropical:) He has [ numerous ] young children. (A, art. كرش.) ― -b3- Also مَنْثُورٌ A kind of sweet-smelling flower; (TA;) [the gilliflower: so called in the present day: see also خِيرِىٌّ.] ― -b4- See also خَشْخَاشٌ.
