(Msb in art. بنو.) ― -b8- مَاآءُ الشَّبَابِ: see شَبَابٌ. ― -b9- مَاآءُ الوَجْهِ: see حَقَنَ and تَشَهَّلَ. ― -b10- مَاآءُ الذَّهَبِ Gold-wash for gilding: and مَاآءُ الفِضَّةِ Silverwash for silvering: you say, طَلَاهُ بِمَاآءِ الذَّهَبِ, and الفِضَّةِ He washed it over with gold, and silver. ― -b11- مَاآءٌ is used as a coll. gen. n., of which the n. un. is مَاءَةٌ; and therefore is sometimes made, as a pl., to have a pl. epithet: ex. مَاءٌ عِذَابٌ. (See عَذْبٌ). مَاآءَةٌ signifies A water; or some water.
