موت

3 مَاْوَتَ [ماوتهُ,] inf. n. مُمَاوَتَةٌ, He vied with him in patience, (K,) and in firmness, or steadiness, or the like. (TA.) [In the K, the inf. n. is expl. by مُصَابَرَة; and in the TA, by مُثَابَتَة also.]
