مرج

هَرْجٌ وَمَرْجٌ ذ ; the latter being written thus, with the ر quiescent, only to assimilate it to the former; (S, K;) and signifying (tropical:) Confusion, and disturbance, in an affair or the like: (S, K:) or intricate disorder, discord, trouble, or the like. (L.)
