1 لَمَأَهُ ذ , and لَمَأَ عَلَيْهِ, aor. لَمَاَ , He smote his hand upon it, [or laid his hand upon it, or seized it, ] openly or secretly. (K.) ― -b2- لَمَأَ الشَّىْءَ He took the whole thing; took it entirely. (K.) ― -b3- لَمَأَ الشَّىْءَ, (K,) inf. n. لَمْءٌ, (TA,) He glanced, or took a slight look at the thing; beheld it quickly: like لَمَحَهُ. (K.)
