A man in a state of bankruptcy: a bankrupt; syn. مُفْلِسٌ: (S, K:) or the former, poor: (ISk:) or a bankrupt and in debt: (IAth:) or destitute; possessing nothing: (A 'Obeyd:) the first extr.
