You say قَوْمٌ جَمِيعٌ A people, or number of men, in a state of collection, &c.; being together; met together; syn. ↓ مُجْتَمِعُونَ: (TA:) and in like manner, ↓ اـِبِلٌ جَمَّاعَةٌ Camels in a state of collection; &c. (TA.) ― -b2- [ All, or the whole, of any things or thing.] See أَجْمَعُ, last sentence. ― -b3- [As an epithet in which the quality of a subst. is predominant,] A tribe [or any number of men ] in a state of collection, congregation, or union; being together; met together; syn. ↓ حَىٌّ مُجْتَمِعٌ. (TA.) ― -b7- جَعَلَ الأَمْرَ جَمِيعًا بَعْدَ تَفَرُّقِهِ (AHeyth, K) He determined, resolved, or decided, upon the affair, so as to make it firmly settled, [ after it had been unsettled in his mind, or] after considering what might be its issues, or results, and saying at one time, I will do thus, and at another time, I will do thus.
