جحر

جَوَاحِرُ جواحر [is its pl., signifying] Entering into burrows, or holes, (S, K,) and hiding-places: (S:) entering secretly into [ their ] habitations: (KL:) and also (assumed tropical:) remaining behind; applied to wild animals &c. (TA.)
