(A.) ― -b3- اهمد الأَمْرَ (tropical:) He put an end to the affair. (A.) ― -b4- اهمد القَحْطُ الأَرْضَ (tropical:) Drought rendered the land sterile, so that it contained no herbage but such as was dried up and broken. (L.) ― -b5- اهمد, (inf. n. اـِهْمَادٌ, K.) (assumed tropical:) He kept silence in an unpleasant case.
