غوط

غَاطٌ ذ : see غَائِطٌ. -A2- الغَاطُ signifies also الجَمَاعَةُ [meaning The mass, or main body, of the people]. (O, K.) One says, مَا فِى الغَاطِ مِثْلُهُ [ There is not in the mass, or main body, of the people, the like of him ]. (O, TA.)
