غو ر غوى

غَوِىٌّ ذ : see غَاوٍ: -A2- and see also غَوًى. You say of a hungry person, رَأَيْتُهُ غَوِيًّا مِنَ الجُوْعِ [ I saw him empty, or lean, from hunger ]; like as one says قَوِيًا and ضَوِيًا [or ضَاوِيًا] and طَوِيًا. (TA.)
