غربل

غِرْبِيلٌ ذ a word said to signify A sparrow: occurring in the saying, in a trad. of Ibn-EzZubeyr, أَتَيْتُمُونِى فَاتِحِى أَفْوَاهِكُمْ كَأَنَّكُمُ الغِرْبِيلُ [ Ye came, or have come, to me opening your mouths as though ye were the sparrow ]. (TA.)
