5 تفيّش الشَّىْءَ ذ He arrogated the thing falsely; (Ibn-'Abbád, * O, * K, * TA;) without merit. (Ibn- 'Abbád, O, TA.) ― -b2- تفيّش عَنِ الشَّىْءِ He turned back from the thing (Ibn-'Abbád, O, K) through weakness and impotence; (TA;) like انفشّ. (TA.)
