2 فَلَّ3َ see above, first sentence. ― -b2- تَفْلِيلٌ [as inf. n. of the pass. v. فُلِّلَ] means The state of being broken, or notched, [ much, or in many places, ] in the edge of a knife, or in the edges of the teeth, (T, TA,) and the like, (T,) [i. e.] and also in [ the edge of] a sword. (TA.)
