فقم

6 تفاقم ذ It (an affair, or a case,) was, or became, great, or formidable; (S, Mgh, K, TA;) and hard, or difficult; (Mgh;) said of what is disliked, or hated; (TA;) and ↓ فَقِمَ and ↓ فَقُمَ signify the same. (K.)
