فِتَاحَةٌ ذ [see 1, near the end]. ― -b2- [As a subst.,] (tropical:) The office of judge: one says, فُلَانٌ وُلِّىَ الفِتَاحَةَ (tropical:) Such a one was appointed to the office of judge. (A, TA.) ― -b3- And [(tropical:) Litigation, or altercation: ] one says, بَيْنَهُمَا فِتَاحَاتٌ (tropical:) Between them two are litigations, or altercations. (A, TA.)
