4 ادلفهُ أدلفه ادلفه ادلفة دلف It (old age) made him to walk, or go, gently, or leisurely; with short steps; [or in the manner of him who is shackled; (see 1;)] at a rate above that which is termed دَبِيبٌ. (IAar, M.) -A2- ادلف لَهُ القَوْلَ i. q. أَضْخَمَ لَهُ, (Ibn-'Abbád, K, *) He spoke to him in a rough, harsh, coarse, rude, uncivil, or ungentle, manner. (TK.)
