دَفَّاعٌ دفاع : see دَفُوعٌ. ― -b2- Also One who, when a bone happens to be in the part that is next to him, of a bowl, puts it away, or aside, in order that a piece of flesh-meat may become in its place. (El-Jáhidh, K.)
