دعو

مَدْعَاةٌ مدعاه مدعاة : see دَعْوَةٌ, latter part, in three places: ― -b2- and see also دَاعِيَةٌ: [pl. مَدَاعٍ. ― -b3- Hence the saying,] لَهُ مَسَاعٍ وَمَدَاعٍ, i. e. (tropical:) [ He possesses means of attaining honour and elevation, and ] causes of glorying, or memorable and generous qualities, especially in war. (TA.)
