A poet says, (calling a tailor a بيطر, like as one calls a skilful man an اـِسْكَاف, Sh, TA,) شَقَّ البِيَطْرِ مِدْرَعَ الهُمَامِ [ Like as the tailor cuts lengthwise, or slits, the woollen tunic of the valiant chief ].
