بَطْبَطَةٌ بطبط بطبطه بطبطة [app. an inf. n., of which the verb is ↓ بَطْبَطَ,] The crying, or cry, of the بَطّ; (K;) after which it [the bird] is named, accord. to IJ, as mentioned above: (TA:) or its diving in water. (K.)
