بَصَّاصٌ بصاص [ Shining, or glistening: or rather, shining, or glistening, much ]. ― -b2- [Hence,] البَصَّاصَةُ The eye: (S A, K:) an epithet in which the quality of a subst. predominates: (TA:) said to be so called (TA) because it shines, or glistens.
