1 بَجَسَ المَاآءَ بجس الماآء , (S, A, Msb, K,) aor. بَجُسَ (S, Msb, K) and بَجِسَ , (A, K,) inf. n. بَجْسٌ, (Msb, TA,) He opened a way, passage, vent, or channel, for the water to flow forth; gave vent to it; made it to flow; syn. فَجَرَهُ, (S,) or فَتَحَهُ, (Msb,) or شَقَّهُ: (A, K:) [all of which, in this case, signify the same:] and in like manner one says of a wound; (A, K;) but in this case, the phrase is tropical: (TA:) and الَماآءِ ↓ بجّس, inf. n. تَبْجِيسٌ, He (namely, God, TA) made the water to flow forth, or to flow forth copiously, syn. فَجَّرَهُ, (K, TA,) from the cloud or clouds, and from the spring.
