(Msb.) ― -b2- And A place in which dates are dried in the [ season called ] صَيْف. (Har p. 165.) -A2- [Also part. n. of the verb in the phrase صِيفَتِ الأَرْضُ:] you say أَرْضٌ مَصِيفَةٌ and ↓ مَصْيُوفَةٌ Land rained upon by the rain of the [ season called ] صَيْف. (S, M, O, K.) -A3- Also, applied to a channel in which water flows, Winding, or tortuous: (S, M:) from صَافَ, like مَضِيقٌ from ضَاقَ. (S.)
