[ صَالٍ ذ is expl. by Freytag as meaning Heated or warmed (“ calefactus ”), and burnt: and the pl. is said by him to be صُلِىٌّ: but he names no authority: if this be correct, it must be a possessive epithet from صَلِىَ.]
