(M, K, TA.) [Accord. to Forskål, (Descr. Animal., p. xxii.,) صرصر, pronounced “ sursur, ” is applied to an insect which he terms Blatta Aegyptiaca. ] ― -b3- And The cock: (K, TA: [written by Golius and Freytag صِرْصِرٌ:]) so called because of his cry.
