صبغ

5 تصبّغ فِى الدِّينِ ذ is from الصِّبْغَةُ, (Lh, O, K,) and means (assumed tropical:) He became settled, or established, in religion: (TK:) and so تصبّغ صِبْغَةً حَسَنَةً; expl. by Z as meaning (assumed tropical:) He was, or became, in a good state [ in respect of religion ]. (TA.)
