حيف

بَلَدٌ أَحْيَفُ ذ , and أَرْضٌ حَيْقَاآءُ, A district or the like, and a land, upon which rain has not fallen: (Ibn-'Abbád, K:) as though the rain treated it wrongfully. (TA.)
