حَائِفٌ ذ Acting wrongfully, unjustly, injuriously, or tyrannically: (Lth, Msb, K: [in some copies of the K, حَائِرٌ is erroneously put for جَائِرٌ:] pl. حَافَةٌ (Msb, K) and حُيَّفٌ (K, Msb *) and حُيُفٌ. (TA.) ― -b2- An arrow declining from the right direction. (TA.) ― -b3- And, as being likened thereto, (tropical:) An impotent man, who does not attain the object of his want.
