حوج

حَوْجَاآءُ حوجاآء : see حَاجَةٌ, in four places: ― -b2- and see حَائِجَةٌ ― -b3- You say also, وَلَا لَوْجَآءُ مَا فِى صَدْرِى بِهِ حَوْجَآءُ There is not in my bosom any doubt respecting him, or it. (Th, S, K.) And وَلَا لُوَيْجَآءُ وَلَا رُوَيْغَةٌ لَيْسَ فِى ↓ أَمْرِكَ حُوَيْجَاآءُ [ There is not any doubt in, or in respect of, thine affair, or thy case ]. And -b2- وَلَا لَوْجَاآءَ كَلَّمْتُهُ فَمَا رَدَّ عَلَىَّ حَوْجَآءَ, like the phrase بَيْضَاآءُ فَمَا رَدَّ عَلَىَّ سَوْدَآءُ, i. e. I spoke to him, and he returned me not a bad word nor a good one.
