3 حاكّهُ حاك حاكه حاكة حائك , (TA,) inf. n. مُحَاكَّةٌ (S, K, KL) and حِكَاكٌ, (TA,) (tropical:) He emulated, rivalled, or imitated, him; [originally, I suppose, in scratching, or the like; ] (K, KL, TA;) the inf. n. being syn. with مُبَارَاةٌ; (K, TA;) or like مُبَارَاةٌ.
