[of either] مَحَاطُّ and [of the latter] مَحَطَّاتٌ. (TA.) ― -b3- [Hence also,] مَحَطُّ سُفُنٍ [ A place for unloading of ships ]. (S and K in art. فرض.) ― -b4- [Hence also,] هٰذَا مَحَطُّ الكَلَامِ (tropical:) [ This is the meaning, or intent, of the saying, or sentence: used in this sense in the present day]. (TA.)
