(K.) ― -b2- And عُمَالَةٌ signifies also The state, or condition, of being occupied; or having work, labour, or service, to perform; contr. of بُطَالَةٌ as syn. with بَطَالَةٌ, inf. n. of بَطَلَ in the phrase بَطَلَ مِنَ العَمَلِ.
