عُلُوقٌ ذ [originally an inf. n.]: see عُلْقَةٌ. ― -b2- One says also, لِى فِى الأَمْرِ عُلُوقٌ There is something made obligatory to me, or in my favour, in the affair, or case; and so ↓ مُتَعَلَّقٌ. (TA.)
