عقل

مُعَقَّلَةٌ ذ is applied to camels (اـِبِلٌ) as meaning Bound with the rope called عِقَال. (O, TA.) And also to a she-camel bound therewith on the occasion of her being covered: and hence the epithet مُعَقَّلَاتٌ is applied by a poet, metonymically, to women, in a similar sense. (TA.)
