عُقَيِّبٌ ذ , with teshdeed of the ى, (O,) or عُقَّيْبٌ, like قُبَّيْطٌ, (K,) A certain bird, (O, K,) well known. (O.) [If the name be correctly as in the O, the bird meant is probably an eaglet, or a small species of eagle. ]
