عق

عِقَّانٌ ذ Shoots that come forth from the أُصُول [meaning trunks, or stems, ] of palm-trees and of grape-vines; (S, O, K;) and which, if not cut off, cause the اصول to become vitiated, or unsound. (S, O.) [See also صُنْبُورٌ: and see عَوَاقٌّ, below.]
