عفو

عَفُوٌّ عَنِ الذَّنْبِ ذ A man forgiving [or who forgives ] the crime, or misdeed: (K:) [or rather] العَفُوُّ signifies he who forgives much: (S:) and [as meaning thus, or the Very Forgiving, ] it is one of the names of God. (TA.)
